In this series I am trying to capture the flowers from my garden while they are in bloom. For most of these, I cut the flower and put it in a vase to draw it. These paintings are done all in one sitting. There are multiple thin layers of of acrylic paint on unstretched canvas. I use a "sharpie" marker, and a thin liner brush of watered down paint for some of the contour line drawing. Some of the paintings lean toward the abstract, but all are inspired by the flower named in the title. Each painting is for sale. The original painting is $200. These are unframed, unstretched paintings.
